Christine Baumgartner, Hans Sachs and Manuel Kretzer studied architecture at the University of Karlsruhe. After traveling the world and gaining experience in a variety of countries and professional practices, they reunited as responsive design studio. Christine Baumgartner currently provides her services to Robin Winogrond Landscape Architects in Zurich, Hans Sachs is a research associate at the Institute of Design at the Faculty of Architecture, Cologne University of Applied Sciences and Manuel Kretzer works at the Chair for Computer Aided Architectural Design, ETH Zürich.
The strength of the team is rooted in design research and a commitment to exploring opportunities in creating responsive, adaptive and adapted physical space. We have a special interest in alternative solutions for vivid architectural geometries that interact with its user in the process of creation but also in its built shape, materialization, surface and visual behavior. A special focus lies on moving, dynamic structures but also on generative, parametric building and design.
As a young, experienced architectural design studio we develop individual solutions in the field of entertainment, leisure, interior design, trade fair, furniture and building design. In cooperation with our experts in CNC / CAM production we can provide integral solutions for your individual demands.
Our focus includes a wide range of scales, from landscape projects and urban design to objects and detailing. Our interdisciplinary background forms an ideal base for developing an inital concept through these various scales and project phases.
